I am a composer and music teacher living in the Blue Ridge
Mountains of North Carolina.  I enjoy music of all kinds, but
especially contemporary art music, 20th century American art music,
electronic and rock.

I studied composition at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina (B.M. 2003) and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah (M.M. 2008), where I also taught music theory.  My primary teachers were Scott Meister, Steve Ricks, and David Sargent.  I also play piano professionally and teach piano lessons as well as middle and high school band.
